Its been a few weeks since our last Beatles thread!

Has anyone caught this show in Las Vegas?

I want to plan a trip out there and was hoping to pick up some tickets.

I bought the CD to polish off my collection, and I really enjoyed it. Its nothing new or earth shattering, but I enjoyed some of the mash-ups and mixes.

The Within You Without You / Tomorrow Never Knows mix was really well done.

    LOVE is a cultural miracle.

The original stems, parts, tracks from early Beatle recordings have been pulled apart and re-fitted into something new and dynamic which honors and enhances the familiar with a shimmering lifeforce anew.

George Martin and his son have done an amazing job of tastefully dovetailing things-that-don't-belong and making them belong.

The drumtrack from one song might suddenly appear in a different song. The harmony might detach from this and become the counterpoint to that.

The chamber music ostinato from Eleanor Rigby might come loose and float away into another parallel dimension like parts of a dream.

In my opinion, the only way to listen to LOVE is with headphones on to hear the manifold nuances and delicious delicacies wrought by the hands of the original master Producer himself.

I'd love to see the live performances along with the music.

As a lifelong Beatlemaniac I have a large collections of recordings, books and events. We all know the music and words to every song but until you see LOVE you have not experienced the magic of the Beatles. I knew I would enjoy the show but was not prepared for the moving, touching, psychedelic ode to the Fab Four. It was beyond anything I could have imagined, a beautiful sensual fantasy. It took my breath and tears streamed down from the emotional experience of beauty.

GO, I tell everyone I meet, GO! get the bus, train or plane, it is a MUST SEE!

Never been a fan of the Beatles. I have one of their albums, the 'Let it be' album. I don't think it's been played in at least 35 years.

FF... As Beatles albums go, that's one of their weakest, though there are great songs on there. A weak Beatles album is still way and above most pop albums...

Now go, get in your car, go straight to your favorite music store and get Revolver. Now...go...don't argue. Just do it.

That's probably true. I don't think I own any pop albums. Very little of the stuff I own is ever heard on the radio. I've never really been a mainstream music kind of guy, but I'll take your tip and check out Revolver.

I have seen it twice now and it still amazes me. It does not woefully parody the Beatles but showcases their songs in a different way. The opening sequence of a bomb blasted Liverpool sets the context for four lads who got together and changed music as we know it.

Also, if any of you Beatles fans want to see a great biopic - "Nowhere Boy" about the early years of John Lennon up to the point he and the other Beatles head to Germany is a must see. A great performance by Kristin Scott Thomas as Aunt Mimi. Given his realtionship with his estranged mum Julia, I have a different impression of the song "I Want to Hold Your Hand" ...
