Passed out from the propane fumes?

I Bro in my old hall passed out from fumes while buffing, I understood it to be the chemicals he was using, not the propane, unfortunately he was working alone and he died leaving a young family.

LOL! This thread brings back some memories! I remember the first floor stip and wax job I did when I was 14. The other guys (older teens) all got together and soaked me as an initiation. Fun times back then working late and listening to Journey, Foreigner, etc. In the late 90s I did floor maintenance work again at banks and a large grocery store. The banks were no problem, but the grocery store was open 24 hours, so I had my share of customers walking on wet wax. All in all, though, pushing a propane buffer up and down the aisles is a good way to get exercise and be paid for it too.

We had a drunken Hell's Angel dude who tried to walk on our freshly waxed floor.

My partner stopped him from doing the 'unholy act' by standing in his way. The Hell's Angel guy pulled a knife out wanting to fight. At that point, I grabbed my stripper mop, and being the skilled janitor that I was, flung the mop, full of solution in the guys face. He went down to the ground on his knees screaming in pain.

The cops came and arrested him, but cautioned us not to press charges, because of the possible retribution to us and our families.

"Oh thank heaven, for 7-11's night work!"
