  Terry, Have you read Blood on the Altar by David A. Reed 1996. Google it and him. Here is a quote from the back jacket of the book."The faraway reality of Jehovah's Witnesses dying for lack of blood does not intrude on the average Witness's joie de vivre any more than Dachau or Auschwitz spoiled the parties and nightlife of National socialist Berlin.

  "The story about the ongoing tragedy among Jehovah's Witnesses is a tale that must be told." Terry, this is a must read for all those that have issues with the blood doctrine.

  I've never read the book. If it comes in to the bookstore where I work you can bet I'll read it.

  Interestingly (and tellingly) the average christian who arrives at the Religion section that I converse with is mostly unaware of JW's belief system

  foibles!

  Makes me think all that dazzling door to door work is worthless.

  I, for one, do NOT want them to change the policy for the better. I want the GB to go so completely batty with their insane policies that the organization collapses from mass exodus and lack of support. This organization is NOT reformable. There is NO hope for it.

  The worst the Watchtower can do is continue to bond with its captive audience in a dance of sado-masochistic destruction.

  Voluntary self-destruction (at the urging of the GB) is still vountary.

  That's what will keep them afloat. They don't compel so much as incite.

  The INTERNET is the only hope for battered Witness Syndrome.

  When a JW appears here, for example, we should do everything in our power NOT to chase them away by coming on too strong.
