The 'Bible Study' concluded the uh, "Keep Yourselves From Getting DF'd" book. I noticed that, in the final subheading of the whole book, Satan is mentioned 7 times and Jesus is mentioned 5 times. Wow. The greatest quote I've ever read, the closest thing to emulating Big Brother in '1984' is on page 205 in that book. "The path to freedom lies in obedience," it said. SLAVERY IS FREEDOM. Orwell would be proud. Or at least amazed at how thoroughly someone can emulate his books without consciously trying to.
Nice summary. Yea the WT is very Orwellian...but the quote, "the path to freedom lies in obedience" is just WOW...
As for you upcoming meeting...hang in there. I think you're going to be okay. I wish I had some sage advice to give, but I don't. I hope things go as well as they can, though I think you know there's only a couple of outcomes possible.

It does seem overwhelming I am sure, but please remember - they are trapped in a brain-washing cult. You have gained intellectual freedom. They are merely victims of machinery built on ignorance.

Many of us here know how you feel. You have received much good advice on this thread and others, the only thing that I can add is that the hatred will fade with time. Later all you will be able to see is pity for all those still stuck in that dreadful cult.
