Faith is twice the size of the empty sky.

    FAITH.

Faith is the short-cut to knowledge which destroys the mind.

Faith clicks off the switch marked THINK.

Just nod your head. Do as you are told. Listen to the voice of Jehovah.

To read and write you must expend effort. Faith? No effort required.

You can be ignorant. You can be illiterate and have faith.

To add, subract, multiply and divide you must learn numbers and computation.

With faith: nothing! You can be innumerate and dull and have plenty of faith.

Faith is the lazy man's riches.

Faith trumps genius because genius knows how much there is yet to know. Faith doesn't need to know. It just has to believe!

Faith expects the best without doing a lick of work to make it happen.

Faith has assurance without studying, practice, opportunity or ambition.

When you buy the Brooklyn Bridge it is FAITH, brothers, FAITH!

When you listen to a man promise pie in the sky bye and bye; it is FAITH, sisters, FAITH!

FAITH is the girlfriend who cheats on you and pawns her diamond ring.
Spend your life with a grin and a hole in your pocket and write million dollar checks on an empty bank account. That's FAITH, my friends, FAITH!

Faith leads you from the here and now to paradise: a Fool's Paradise.

Facts? Don't need 'em! GOT FAITH instead!

Book learnin'? Don't need it! Got Faith and a heart full o' joy!

See that shit-eatin' smile on Brother so-n-so? See his worn out shoes? See his beat up car?

See his shabby house and nothing job? Don't you want to be able to live like him and smile??

All you need is FAITH! Jehovah will provide!

Pick a church...any church. See how glad they are to see you arrive? They want you to be there! The Lord wants you to be there! You'll have everything you ever wanted or needed or cried for. What does it cost? FAITH; that's all---just faith. Oh, do you have a checking account?

    With faith you have:

    Friends like glue

    True, so true....

    They'll smile at you...

    Christian or Jew...

You don't need a clue....YOU JUST NEED FAITH!!

    Can I have an Amen?

    AMEN!

    Amen.

    AMEN!!

    Faith is all you need

Faith is the assured expectation of things yet to come, based on evidence. For instance, one might have faith in a weather report of a blizzard or hurricane coming, or a sunny day. One might have faith that, if one hits the light switch, they are going to get light. One might have faith that if they drop something, it will hit the floor instead of the ceiling or staying suspended. This kind of faith, based on past history and present trends, is useful. Without it, one would always have to learn everything anew.

However, the kind of "faith" that religions try to build is the faith that is always abused. Scam artists also abuse faith, trying to get you to trust them and then pulling a fast one on you. Religious faith is not based on past history or sound science--and often contradicts sound science and actual past history. Faith "healing" is one example--as is the very destructive faith that one is going to heaven or to be resurrected on earth if they obey a list of rules (designed to diminish enjoyment of life and to get the person to waste their money on religion).

I personally feel that the most destructive faith is that we were all born wicked and sinful, that a savior is needed to buy us back from this sin, and that we need to add to this sacrifice (whether or not it is explicitly stated). The Christian religions expressly state that Jesus' sacrifice is sufficient, and then require their members to add to it with their time and money. Islam teaches that people need to directly sacrifice. And other religions all drive people to sacrifice. All is backed up with the scam of what happens after you die if you are "good" and if you are "bad" This kind of "faith" prevents one from looking at anything objectively, causes guilt for things that are not inherently immoral, and wastes resources.
