People have been coming up with versions of Jesus for a long time, some versions have been historically and socially very benign and other versions , ie the Protestant and Catholic version, have been cruel and destructive in the extreme.

This good Jew got lost to legend and myth a long time ago, pitty.

Actually Stephen (seeing this thread has no particular topic any more I don't worry about hijacking it) from your quoted passage JWs eyes will be transfixed on verse 6 - they use it as anti-trinitarian proof.

Reading the verse in an other language and other translation makes me realize it can be interpreted from a trinitarian view this way too: Jesus was God, but he didn't want to grasp to that function under all circumstances, but gave up all to become human. Amirite?

When it comes to religion, it is all about 'faith over fact', which is to say; "I have no proof, just a nice warm fuzzy idea, so I will spend my life trusting nice warm fuzzy ideas instead of facts that countermand my nice warm fuzzy ideas."

Barbara explain this. yes Jehovah became Jesus in the flesh! Col. 2:8,9 : (NWT)

If Jehovah was Jesus he died and gave himself to himself as a sacrifice so he could forgive man for eating a fruit, and if you don't believe this he will cook you in a fire where you can never get done.

Does he add a little Bar-B-Que sauce so you will smell good while cooking?
