But.....it's ok to still refer to Jehovah as "our Father" although those of the other sheep cannot be his "sons". I'm confused. How can you have a father but still (at this time) not be considered the father's child?

It is just another way for the anointed GB leaders to promote themselves to a position of superiority. There is no logical reason why a "sinful" anointed member should be worthy of being called God's son but a "sinful" great crowd follower should not.

They try to make it sound that the ONLY ones on earth that count are the JWs, either by means of being "anointed" or of the "other sheep". The Witnesses have really made it an us vs. them religion (cult).

The two flocks are explained on this thread: http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/bible/189576/1/IDENTITY-of-the-LOCUST

Satan was "bound" for a thousand years after Jesus came. He caused such a commotion that it took more than a thousand years to regroup a religious configuration and incorporate Jesus into the mix.

Since that was about 2000 years ago, that would put us at the end of the thousand years where Satan was 'loosed' again.

Here is how the WTS twists this:

*** Follow Christ cf chap. 18 pp. 190-191 par. 22 "Continue Following Me"***Afterward, Christ will begin his Thousand Year Reign over the earth. His heavenly government will dispense the benefits of the ransom to every faithful human, raising such ones to perfection. Imagine yourself vibrant in health, ever young and strong, happily working with a united human family to turn this earth into a paradise! At the end of that Millennium, Jesus will hand the rulership back to his Father. (1 Corinthians 15:24) If you continue loyally following Christ, you will be granted a blessing so wonderful that it is hard even to imagine—"the glorious freedom of the children of God"! (Romans 8:21) Yes, we will have all the blessings that Adam and Eve had and lost. Earthly sons and daughters of Jehovah, we will be forever free of the stain of Adam’s sin. Truly, "death will be no more."—Revelation 21:4.

*** w04 11/1 p. 13 par. 17 Happy Servants of Jehovah ***The peaceable "other sheep" serve Jehovah under the Fine Shepherd, Christ Jesus, who becomes their "Eternal Father." (John 10:14, 16; Isaiah 9:6) Those who successfully pass the final test after the Millennial Reign of Christ will be adopted as Jehovah’s earthly sons and "have the glorious freedom of the children of God." (Romans 8:21; Revelation 20:7, 9) In anticipation of this, they address Jehovah as their Father, since they dedicate their lives to him, recognizing him as their Life-Giver. (Isaiah 64:8) Like Job and Moses of old, they can "see God" with eyes of faith. (Job 42:5; Hebrews 11:27) With ‘the eyes of their heart’ and through accurate knowledge of God, they perceive Jehovah’s wonderful qualities and endeavor to imitate him by doing his will.—Ephesians 1:18; Romans 1:19, 20; 3 John 11.

16, 17. (a) Why are the anointed called "sons of God," and how do they "see God"? (b) How do the "other sheep" "see God"? (c) How and when, in the fullest sense, will the "other sheep" become "sons of God"?

*** w06 2/15 p. 25 par. 16 Gathering Things in Heaven and Things on Earth ***These will have the opportunity to become permanent earthly subjects of the Messianic King, Christ Jesus. At the end of the Millennial Reign, all these "things on the earth" will be subjected to a final test. Those proving faithful will be adopted as earthly "children of God."—Ephesians 1:10; Romans 8:21; Revelation 20:7, 8.

    ***Worship God 2002

wt chap. 10 p. 99 par. 16 A Kingdom "That Will Never Be Brought to Ruin" ***After the abyssing of Satan and his demons, Jesus Christ and his 144,000 joint heirs will rule as kings and priests for the thousand years. (Revelation 20:6) During that period, mankind will be brought to perfection, with sin and Adamic death forever eliminated. At the end of the Thousand Year Reign, having successfully carried out his assignment as Messianic King-Priest, Jesus "hands over the kingdom" to his Father, "that God may be all things to everyone." (1 Corinthians 15:24-28) At that point, Satan is released for a little while to test redeemed humankind as to their support of Jehovah’s universal sovereignty. After that final test is complete, Jehovah will destroy Satan and the rebels who sided with him. (Revelation 20:7-10) Those who upheld Jehovah’s sovereignty—his right to rule—will have fully demonstrated their unswerving loyalty. They will then be brought into their proper relationship with Jehovah, being accepted by him as his sons and daughters, divinely approved for everlasting life.—Romans 8:21.

*** w67 9/15 p. 571 The Bridegroom and Bride Turn Attention to Family-rearing ***During the thousand-year reign, when the bride and Bridegroom are concentrating on the rearing of a family, they will also be directing their children in the construction of the most beautiful of homes, namely, an earthly paradise, so that by the end of the thousand years and after the destruction of the unworthy in the "lake of fire" there will be a tremendous family of thousands of millions, all living happily with everlasting life on the beautified earth. (Ps. 37:10, 11; Rom. 8:21) God’s purpose in this blessed marriage of his beloved, faithful Son will be carried out to a glorious conclusion, bringing mankind into the family of the heavenly Father as "sons of God."

This is one of the common problems that crop up with 'theological views'. Dispensationalists, quasi-Dispensationalists, Literalists in some respects read to much into texts trying to find some hidden message or light not readily apparrent to ordinary folk. Its an exhausting quest

'Don't worry be happy, everything will be alright'

As Blondie noted, the Watchtower has been saying this for years. Meanwhile they are not in a "proper relationship" with Jehovah.

Who the hell do these people think they are???
