Was Jehovah God Ever Real To You?

We were supposed to "love" Jehovah God. We were taught how wonderful a God he is and how fortunate we were to be His people. Of course, you can't see Jehovah God. Yet he sees us. He hears us. He knows our pain.....yet He doesn't do anything about our woes or for that matter, anyone's.

Did you honestly have a "real relationship" with your Heavenly Father?

I always felt closer to Jesus of Nazareth.

    Now, I understand why.

I have never been able to relate to JESUS. I found having a heavenly FATHER, however, most natural.

I can remember feeling the presence of Jehovah in my life. (Spooky, huh?)

In western civilization we just get a bellyfull of Jeezus this and Jeezus that. I tend to associate the very name "JESUS" with a southern drawl and a lacquered haircut and unctuous smile.

At my most fervent and productive JW mind-fugue I would "talk in my head" to Jehovah constantly. If this isn't mental instability I don't know what qualifies.

I view this whole thing as a very small world with sad, unfulfilled people afraid to really live their life clinging to a fairy tale and flexing imaginary muscles to make themselves feel bigger than they are.

So Terry, Jehovah was real to you when you didn't know better.

But Jesus of Nazareth was the same as his Father, Snowbird.

Jesus was human at one time.

    That makes all the difference.

But Jesus was still the personification of God.

No, JG never felt real to me. Santa would have been easier and more fun to believe in.

Yes, I really did believe he was real and listening to me and answering me.

Then, it was pointed out to me that I was guilty of confirmation bias and that my reasoning included logical fallacies.

How can a JW, an honest JW, accept the "Truth" but never believe in Jehovah??

Jesus is Jehovah - Jehovah is Jesus.

    Nice symmetry there.
