Oh, my brother did that jumping through hoops act so he could talk to his family in public again. He made my religous nut mother happy too, I guess.

He just faded away after that, although I think he manages to go to the Memorial to make the folks happy. Seen a lot of that in my time.

Cancer does have a way of coming back following what appears to be a remission . . .

Since when do people think they need to "save" their friends and relatives from the clutches of the WT by any and all means, including lying and deception? OK, you can talk to your family again and you want to change their thinking about the WT, so you now have to convince them their thinking is wrong. Guess what? As soon as they hear you say negative stuff about the WT org, you will be labeled as either a weak JW or an opposer of the Faithful Slave and the shunning will start all over or maybe a new trial will be convened to examine your loyalty and beliefs. Under the best of conditions I would expect that a faker will be lucky to extract one or two JWs from the KH- and now they will be shunned, too. You couldn't cut it on the outside by yourself, so how do you expect one lowly friend or relative to leave the KH and start a new life with no JW friends or family?

maryacclaim, wow its tough to get reinstated. I hope you can continue to fade and help your family at the same time. It's a brave thing to go back to try and help your family. Being able to talk to them is a valuable part of that. Sometimes you just have to play the game to have the prize. Don't let any of the negative comments faze you, what your doing is brave. Ruth

I suppose doing a fade off works for some, my impression it resolves into just another family let down when you finally

make the leap out of the Kingdom Hall doors.

I have to respect those folks that finally make the decision to leave and write a dissociation letter

to their elders, very courageous and brave thing to do.

    Moshe,

"You couldn't cut it on the outside by yourself..."

She never said she failed at life outside the khall doors. She just wanted her family back, that's all.

That is what I did exactly as I could not live a double life. In my case, I did not have a family within.

I can imagine a life of those born in the troot. It can be very tough and challenging to start a life of

their own if they live the borg. I hope this person is able to updates up what is going on and seek

our asistance to manage the transition to successful fading.

She wanted her family back? Then I agree, just go back to the KH and embrace it and bow to the F&DS and they will L-O-V-E you again- well, sorta love you- with conditions.

Shit the Jehovah's Witnesses are one son of a bitch mean religion.

To institute a policy to make it improper to talk and associate with members of their own family

simply for the reason you don't want to partake in their specially devised faith, how absurd and socially immoral.

No wonder people are trying to talk them to court just on this one policy.
