I got old!
Feeling old today for some reason and thought I'd rant.
Wasn't supposed to happen to me! But then again, that's what my father, grand father and great grandfather thought!

LOL.
We still love you, 5th.

I know what you mean, 5thGeneration. While I am still relatively young, I am watching my parents as they age and look with increasing desperation towards Armageddon. It is so sad.
I guess witnesses are not excused from the aging process and death, as they think, heh? Nothing physical lasts forever. Look around.
I remember when the generation teaching was changed in 1995. I knew I was screwed.

Just as JWs of my generation had to face the cold hard facts after 1975.
We were very fortunate that we left when we did, about the age of 40. Had time to invest and build a nest egg. And now retiring at 54 and living a full life.
Only if we could use our investments for good, like Pioneering.......NOT!!
Sadly we know of an old JW friend who's wife died of cancer recently. She didn't get very good care and they were livng in a small trailor, in a not so good trailor park. Some reward for all those years of faithful service to the WT, no?
