Welcome, Peaches! I'm sorry to hear that everything has been lost, including a child...
Personally, I did a quick fade. Fewer and fewer meetings over a couple of months, then cold turkey. The cold turkey happened once I was absolutely sure it wasn't The Truth.

My going out brought the elders round and a two hour arguement with raised voices occurred in the street. This resulted in elders being counseled and leaving the meeting early on the next Thursday. I continued to attend the hall. I wrote to the society and recieved no reply. I then called the PO he had heard from them and was supposed to arrange a meeting. He didnt. I phoned him repeatedly and got a meeting eight months later. I went over the points and asked if they wished to disfellowship me. (2years after the arguement in the street) They didnt. I feel there is a small percentage chance that they are right. But it is very small and getting smaller.

I told my husband the night I saw the settlements announced on NBC, that I wasnt going to another meeting. I no longer trusted them. He "called the elders on me" and their excuses for the wt. just made me angrier. I got tired of sisters calling me and the elders, so I da'd so they would have to leave me alone.

That's the only reason I'm not out. Although I missed a meeting last night because I was out drinking and now my wife wants to talk tonight about what I want out of life and today, suggested for the third time in a year that maybe we shouldn't be married.
