sure, JW's arent a cult, when you can just make up your own facts. I notice a link to bethel tours on it, perhaps he is trying to make money? I know that JW apologists are some of the worst liars on the net. However this article is so out of line, I have to wonder if the person who wrote it is actually a JW.

"When becoming a Jehovah's Witness, there are no secret stages - the path to membership is clearly stated from the beginning."

Clearly--and inaccurately. Where is it divulged at the beginning that you will be shunned by your family if you break one of their rules? Or, that spending upward of 70 hours a month going from door to door could be pushed on you? (You do it "voluntarily" to avoid the hounding that you will get.) That, if the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger later changes the rules, you have to abide by those rules no matter what?

"There is no expectation that Jehovah's Witnesses should become completely devout to the Witness Bible, and the education process works on many different levels."

This is a blatant lie. This might not be the case when you first go to the boasting sessions. But, after you are baptized, you will be expected to become devout, wasting more and more of your time going from door.

"Every Jehovah's Witness has a voice, and can suggest ideas to the main leaders. These ideas are read and a large majority of the time taken seriously and acted on"

Acted on--by disfellowshipping the person to come up with the ideas. You can suggest the ideas, but they will almost always be denied.

"Jehovah's Witnesses hold no financial obligation to their local or central organizations, and any contribution is given anonymously and voluntarily."

Voluntarily, my axx! Then, why do you periodically get pledge forms? I can remember our Kingdumb Hell project. We got a pledge form, and I pledged $32 a month at the time. I had nothing but BAD luck after remitting my first $32--on top of that, my financial circumstances deteriorated. I eventually quit donating my $32 a month after realizing that Jehovah was giving me much negative value for this waste of money. Then, about 5 years later, the hounders handed out another round of pledge forms. Realizing that Jehovah gave me negative value for the first pledges (resulting in my welshing on further donations on that pledge, not resulting from my welshing on them), I took it home and "forgot" it. The hounders had the nerve to shove another one in my face, demanding that I fill it out right there. Now, I told them that, if I filled it out then, I would put zero in it and turn that in (and not welsh on my promise to give nothing). I took it home, and this time not only I left it home, but I had to stay home to avoid yet another one shoved in my face. No financial obligations?

"In no way are Jehovah's Witnesses taught that they are higher than the laws that govern them, and are taught to obey the laws on a national, state, and local level."

I suppose this includes laws about reporting pedophiles in the congregations? Paying taxes? Then why do they change their doctrines to avoid paying taxes? How often do they lie, twisting the meanings of words, to get their way in court?

"Education and Knowledge that goes beyond the realm of Jehovah's Witness literature is never looked down upon."

Then why are they coming down so hard on college during the past few years? Even comparing it to a shooting in the head? And the famous September 2007 Kingdumb Misery, telling people to avoid using independent sources to verify doctrinal accuracy--never looked down upon?

"Members are encouraged to live healthy lifestyles, including eating healthy, a healthy sleeping pattern, regular visits to a physician, and balanced nourishment."

Eating healthy? You mean, McDonald's for lunch every day? I have seen many pio-sneers doing that, to keep their time going. I have also seen many witlesses living off hot dogs and TV dinners, just so they can stay out in field circus until just before the boasting session and make it on time. Healthy sleeping pattern? What's this about staying up until 1:30 in the morning writing letters, and then being back to the Kingdumb Hell at 5:30 the same morning for street work? When I was going in, the slimebag that dragged me into the cancer wanted me out at 9 AM knowing that it would realistically mean getting up at 8. That, after he knows I would likely not be getting home from work until well after 1 AM. Healthy sleeping pattern? And, ask Danny Haszard about the regular visits to a physician.

This is so blatant that anyone should be able to shoot the whole article full of holes. At least Devil worship is honest, which is a lot more than can be said about the Jehovah's Witless cult.
