Excellent video, OTWO. Thanks for sharing it. I cringe when I realize how many years I felt totally comfortable in the middle of all of this. So thankful to be outside it now.

The witlesses proclaim that all baptized publishers are in fact ordained ministers. You will hear this at every baptism talk (at least the ones I have heard all mention this). What this means is that they are responsible for the spiritual condition of everyone in the territory, an attempt to put guilt on them if they are not reaching everyone in their territory.

The fact that many do not think of themselves as ordained ministers just shows how much they forget these talks. They have been at all the a$$emblies where they heard the baptism talks. They have seen the Washtowel articles that expound on that all witlesses are ordained ministers upon baptism. Yet, either they do not pay attention to it, or they simply have no belief in its validity.

As for me, I believe that I am technically an "ordained minister", as of when I was baptized. However, in light of that Jehovah welshed on His promise to make me happy, I have chosen to welsh on my duty as an "ordained minister". Jehovah was supposed to have given me what I want, not what I don't want (and no excuses of "That is not proper" or "It isn't the proper time"). He gave me what I don't want instead. Therefore, ordained minister or not, I have revoked my dedication to Jehovah and rendered Him forever ineligible for my dedication.

Excellent - It shows that witnesses do not know what they believe.

OTWO, thanks for posting this. It's the first real chance I've had this week to view it. It's good!

This is similar to the question I posed to my parents years ago when I asked them "Is God directing the Watchtower?" They both answered at the same time. My Dad said "No." and my Mom said "Yes."

Here in the UK, I recall many years ago there was a thing about who was an "ordained minister" in the JWs.

It went from we all were, then it was only Min Servants and Elders, then back to we all were.

Then it was decided that for the legal side only Elders in congregations were considered "ordained ministers".

The local authority had two Elders registered as "The Right Reverend" and "Reverend"

One of our brothers who was a lawyer said that its up to any religious organisation to decide who they called an "ordained minister".

I suppose, because I f a d e d away...technically I am still an "ordained minister", just an 'inactive (apostenated) one'. And, I have personal opinions that are in opposition to the WT's...They are so proud!

Ptt-too-wee! 'Sucuse me...I must go wash my mouth out with premium gasoline. Got a light?

I'll bet that if the US had a millitary draft right now, those "brothers" would be less unsure of their ministerial ranking.

The hard part is convincing the draft board that you're serious.
