  First, I must take exception to its being a privilege to belong to Jehovah. Since when is it to my advantage to belong to anyone, let alone this Almighty Lowlife Scumbag? It only means whatever advantage I would have had in living is being taken away to serve someone else, against my will.

  Freedom? Belonging to Jehovah takes all freedom away from me. It means no courtship (even if He only thinks I am still His property, He can and does prevent the opposite sex from falling for me). That alone is enough to view belonging to that Almighty Lowlife Scumbag as a curse, not a blessing. But, additionally, it means having to waste all my time and energy doing His will instead of living my own life. Spreading His message, observing whatever He wants me to instead of what I feel like, and interference with enjoying pleasures without the guilt He imposes also impedes freedom.

  And, the Washtowel Babble and Crap Slaveholdery makes an already bad situation even worse. You have to worry about the rules--some of which are not even organization wide. They could single you out to obey a stupid rule while others are not affected--and you had better not mention that rule to others, or you will be further hounded. You are hounded to commit to wasting 50 or 70 hours a month on field circus (plus preparation time) without knowing what obstacles will present themselves. You could be laid up with the Spanish flu, and still you had better get your time in or else. You have to make all the boasting sessions or risk a hounding. Celebrating anything aside the Black Sabbath Party (which is coming up this March 30) is forbidden. You are required to dress up, uncomfortably, the whole time. Health has to suffer--how many people have had to go out while sick, lost much sleep, had much stress from not being "good enough", or from continually eating fast, good-tasting poison?

  And the articles, besides being out of date, do not relate any specific personal blessings. Surviving? Rahab was blessed about as much as a robbery victim would be blessed by being spared dying for doing what the robber demands--Rahab would have been better off had Jehovah not intervened. Ruth did not benefit personally (aside personal relationships, which is nothing Jehovah contributed to) from this arrangement. And similarly, you hear of people recounting as "blessings" that they were able to pio-sneer or were accepted at Beth Hell. Or, they assisted 6 people into the cancer. Never do you hear where people got personal blessings--at least nothing that can be verified as fact (sometimes they throw in something, but it is wholly fake).

  I would rather not belong to Jehovah. At least Satan lets me belong to myself, encouraging the true freedom of being independent. I never feel hounded by Satan to do more and to give up things to glorify Satan.

  The theme scripture is an extract from Rom 14 : 8 "We belong to Jehovah" ..Now more learned ones than me please comment but I cannot see this as a quotation from the O T "Hebrew Scriptures", so why is the name of God added here when the Greek text reads Kyrios 'Lord' ? The Interlinear did say that the "definite article" preceded it so maybe that was the justification they needed..

  I will skip the inducing para 13 about elders "helping us " who are struggling etc...

  "War is Peace, Freedom is slavery,Ignorance is Strength" - The WT is just as contradictory yet can seem just as convincing to those who want to believe.

  Thanks Blondie! as a fader who has their last meeting Sunday. I appreciate your work.. and find it useful when I talk to the family that is still in to TRY and get them to reason on some stuff. THey seem to have blinders on..
