I agree with Shamus. Also, I think one of the things one needs to do is to take a break from the site from time to time. Especially if your emotions are in turmoil. Go away from it for a while and just breathe.
Titus,
A ton of people lurk here. So when you see your thread views, that's everyone, not just registered users. I get a kick out of people that think that they are being ignored. It's not usually the case at all.
ROFL.

The first step is learning how to post in the right sub forums. Oh and search is your friend.

Yes, but I am an active Witness still. I defend some things inside of the WT Society sometimes. I feel that I have to.
Some posters have a problem with that, and I get stoned then.
Tonky usually kisses me on my forehead then , but I feel that others ignore me after that.

I wouldn't ever worry about it too much. I have done way more in the real world to help ex JW's and current JW's then I have ever done with this site. I mainly use it for research or just entertainment. There are many on this site who still carry the JW clique/sheep/elder mentality.
"How do you(positivly) contribute on this site?
1) Begin with the end in mind. Decide what you're trying to accomplish with your threads and posts.
2) There is a space between stimulus and response. Use this space wisely. Use it to remove the emotion and respond with constructive views rather than destructive ones. If someone attacks you, do not respond in like kind. Remove the fuel and you will extinguish the fire.
3) Realize and accept that you can't please all of the people all of the time.
