I was totally disgusted at this account particularly the tragic stories of the sister from Thailand and the diabetic brother. Total heartlessness. That alone without the false doctrine would be enough.
Shunning is wrong, the doctrine is wrong and the false prophet has been exposed for all to see.
I know it is long but persevere with it it is worthwhile.

Read the first half and really my knowledge of the bible and relevant history is laughably non-existant. I have learned a lot and will read the rest tomorrow. Interesting how the elders only seem to ask your opinions on things - they really didn't/couldn't prove anything scripturally.

Reminds me of my own committee, except I probably didn't know half of what this guy knew. As usual, the elders dodged the serious, real issues and remained focused on "organization" and basically on getting him to answer a bottom line question so they could DF. It was as if they just wanted to get it over with so they could get on with the business of running the company, if you will. Even to a guy like me, that's cold.

Undercover--my company must use the same filter software. Most anything I click on comes up as porn. I just thought it was because our IT guy is an elder in my last cong. He's a porn FREAK. He'd ask everyone in every JC if porn was the reason that they started sinning. lol. So I think he's a little obsessed.

These sorts of transcripts are gripping the first few you read but after awhile you already know exactly what the elders are going to say to disregard any legitimate concerns about the borg. It's frustrating to read such willful and hardheaded ignorance. While the approaches of the victims (the DFd people) are all relatively unique, the borg elder responses are canned.
