The other day, I was walking out of the KH with elder x, and elder x said ..."did you hear about this Jehovah's Witness website they got... they should shut it down"

I acted dumb to it and chuckled. I said "REALLY...ah yeah... I think I did hear somthing about that..."

As I nodded goodbye and moved off to my car, I muttered ..Yeah... I'll just tell Simon to get that terrible thing down right now...

What a lark! I will bet 'ol righteous brother x ain't reading this right now.

Why did Brother x bring this up? Well, seems to be that some of the faithful have been bringing up the UN/WTS stuff to them and they are just a squirmin. The first question asked is always the same... ...have you been reading apostate stuff?"

Well, this is gonna be good.

Funny isn't it, how reading something about the UN/WBTS would be considered "apostate" stuff. Just don't be informed. Keepem stupid.

This means that the elders are now reading "apostate stuff" also? How else would they know about this website? Maybe they are checking up on various people, especially those who have their picture posted (LOL)...

I mentioned this in another thread but I will repeat here since it's dealing with the same subject.

When I told my mother-in-law about the UN thing her first question was,

    get this,

    When was Brother Franz disfellowshipped?

It's a good thing they didn't apply back in the 80's or it would have been pinned on him for sure.

I mentioned the UN thing to a long standing JW.

Oh! you don't believe THAT do you?? It's all apostate lies....there must of been an apostate working at the UN that put the 'society' on their site. The internet it evil!

I did manage to get across that it was in fact true, and that she should check with the society and the UN.

Makes me laugh and cry all at the same time..........HA HA HA

About two years ago, my wife and I called a couple of elders over to
discuss some theological problems. One of the elders noticed that I
had a file of Society quotations. He made the comment that I should
be careful with that, because it could be the beginning of apostacy.

Now, how could direct, word for word, quotations from the Society
    be apostate?

    RunningMan,

    Yeah those evil old quotes!

I just love one of the signatures of a poster on this forum (sorry can't remember who it is now) anyhow here it is...

So simple, and logical isn't it? Funny how they don't see it that way

    Simon,

Have you gotten any orders from Elders to "shut this thing down" yet?
