Well- do you need any help around the house? Unlike JW's, the Mormons love to do charitable work and will gladly do some painting, yard work, clean up, etc- of course, they hope you will fall for their love bombing and join their religion.

Moshe: "Well- do you need any help around the house? "

Sure, Moshe. I have often fantasized how you would look in an apron. Mighty cute, I bet. I would love to take you up on that offer. Send me a PM.

I wonder what happened to my post????

I seen the JW's today working a couple of streets over from mine. Man, did that bring back memories.

I had Mormons knock before they realized there was a sign about no soliciting of religious nature on my door, not wanting to be ding-dong ditchers they waited until I came to the door and then asked if there was anything they could do for me today? They were so polite (cute too) and I could see they were trying not to laugh so I didn't suggest they could help me mop or rake the leaves!

Me & child were driving in town one day and she sees two guys in white shirts & ties and says "ugh, jw's!!!" I said 'no those are Mormons' 'How can you tell the difference?" "Well the first give away is that they are smiling, secondly all jw's around here never go without their suit coat too and thirdly they have a name tag"- jw's will hardly admit they are jw's much less tell you their name!

Here is the post which disappeared:

They were wearing suspenders, black pants, long sleeve white shirt and white helmets.

I was available; out in my yard----but they did not stop.

Do you suppose they just go out riding to "put in time" like the JWs? Do they hang out in coffee shops? Are they expected to turn in "time cards" and "potential converts"? Do they turn in records of who is home on each street?

Is this part of their service ritual in reaching for higher status in the church? Must they do this for a certain length of time?

Why is it always young boys---never older men or even females?

    Why only young guys?

And what criteria do they use as to deciding which house they stop at?

Cameo, from my understanding Mormon males serve 2 years in service, females do not go door to door. Not sure about turning in records like the jw's but I don't think so. Check out the Mormon Curtain forum some time! An interesting read once you get a handle on the language, just like here. I had a difficult time when I first came because I didn't know the language of ex jw's and I didn't know the doctrinal stuff either. It's been awhile since I was there so I am a little fuzzy on their fs. All the ex cult boards are pretty interesting, ever check out the Scientology boards? Had a friend of a friend who inadvertently sent their kid to a Scientology camp to clean up a drug habit but unfortunately they suck the drug addicts into the cult.
