What would you do if this site was shut down? (page 4)

I know if would definatley be bored at work. I dont post much here, paranoid about my ex finding me on here and reporting me to the elders - He would love it if i got DF'd, but I do spend a bit of time here when im at work!

It nearly did get shut down, but with the view of saving the posts as archives. Then, Simon decided to revamp the site instead. What did happen then was that several other sites were started, and at least a few are still up and running.

If the Washtowel did take control of this and all other apostate discussion boards, and then created a situation where they would sue anyone that ever started another, that would be Sxxx Creek without a paddle.

Yikes. I've got a "Word" document with comments I've prepared before I posted them on this site; I think I'll re-work that document - or start a clean one - and 'cut and paste' as many pertinent articles as I can...

Just in case...

As Dissed said, be prepared - or perhaps better safe than sorry.

I sure hope Simon would let us know if there was a problem...

Can the entire website be backed up on a dvd?

If so, can you sell it to those that want it?

I don't know if there is a cost to run this board, but that could be a way to rasie some money for the board, or any volunteers that support the board.

If not, is there a 3rd party service that can provide this back up?

P.S. At times I would like to search the old post for a particular topic or word. Is there a way to do this, without searching through each post.
