For an interesting look at this check out Micheal Newton's book Journey of Souls.

Funny TastingFreedom, I haven't been on this forum in awhile and this is the first thread I see and open. I've also been investigation this belief... I agree that us being energy, our souls do move on.

What interests me the most is the karmic relationships we experience. I know there's people I meet that I instantly click with, or something about them just resinates with me. Did I know them in a past life? and are we meeting again to hash it out and get it right this time? I don't know... it fascinates me.

You best believe freeing yourself from the controls of religious dogma is going to shoot you forward along the road of consciousness.

Due to some experiences I've had, I think it is a possibility. But there could be another reason for my experiences such as some sort of collective unconsiousness or genetic memory.

Even if we do reincarnate it doesn't matter much because the only life that is important is the one we are having at this time.

    ready or not-

I believe in reincarnation and also believe that we "travel" with some of the same people through different lifetimes.

I also believe that after people die they can choose to stay and help their loved ones for a while before they enter a rest phase and eventual reincarnation.

My son in law was born in the same place in Cornwall that my family lived for generations. On his many visits to his family, he has found three different gravestones with his and my daughter's names on them. Going back centuries. The latest was in the early 1900s, he found a wedding picture of the couple and they are almost identical to my SIL and daughter.

I think the more lives we travel through, the more awareness we have of past lives and how we connect with the people around us.

My SIL is a very old soul indeed.

One more point- most people who believe in reincarnation do not believe they were famous, royalty, or wealthy in their former lives. It seems that the more difficult, painful past experiences are the ones more readily recalled.

Thanks for that only me -

I know I've been around for awhile. I have a little boy in my daycare who's truly an 'old soul'. As soon as I saw him I knew there was something about him. 6 months later, his mother died from Cancer and I think she picked me to be there for her son.

I seem to draw people to me who've lost someone in their life. When I was 18, I stopped counting all the people I knew who had died. I had reached 33. There are 8 people close to me who all lost a parent, including my two best friends. With one, I sat with her for a year barely speaking, just eating McDonald's and watching talk shows. I gained 30lbs with her!! People come up to me on the street and tell me about painful things they've experienced. A few weeks ago, a young man came up to me and struck up a conversation. Within 5 minutes he told me his sister was hit my a car a year ago, then his mother died 3 months later.

I've got a ton of amazingly strange stories. Lots and lots of questions...

Yes. I have had "past life memories".

In my last life I was a house fly.

I recall being a larva, squirming around eating the rotting remains of my yet previous life self (before I was a fly I was a platypus). As a platypus I was a stowaway on a ship that happened to be floating past Washington DC. I was found out and stomped to death by a Korean sailor.

I finished being a fly larva and flew off the ship and headed inland.

As an adult fly I flew around someone's house and was swatted dead by President Nixon.

All my life I have suspected I will die a sudden, violent and unexpected death.

Well it certainly exciting and interesting to consider. It stirs up some wonderful and wild converstations. I think I will believe it simply because I love the idea, so much more interesting to consider than just going to heaven and hell.

    Just for Brits this question:

Is reincarnation when you come back as a tin of evaporated milk ?
