As I've gotten older and went through menopause, alcohol makes me sick. I can barely tolerate the stuff. I've got two bottles of wine that I've had for about a year in the house. I might pop a bottle open to see if I can tolerate it. I use to love to play music and get my drink on! Now, it seems like it's no fun.
If I decide not to drink the alcohol, it will be the usual stuff diet tea, diet A&W root beer, or water. I can barely tolerate coffee nowadays as well. I usually drink about a 1/2 a cup twice a day.
This hinky stuff with alcohol and coffee started when I was going through menopause. Man, it really was "the change of life" for me.
