Everything they teach is based on the Bible. History has demonstrated that the Bible is a book that puts it's focus on one nation, Isreal. The historian Esra wrote and redacted their history thousands of years after the myth of Adam and Eve and the garden of eden account.

When we study the history of man's beginnings and the beginnings of the Watchtower Society, nothing they teach adds up as truth.

Blondie, if we could make the comments you will not hear at the Watchtower study, we would be disfellowshipped.

And why does the public not get this lifesaving article in the watchtower that they print for the rank and file.

One watchtower for those locked inside, a different one for the public. Is that what the Governing Body was inspired to do by Jehovah or what?

Lets not tell those who get the public magazine about this article printed only for us ?

It calls to mind the illustration they always used to say, about the father who allows his child to go through a painful operation that will ultimately save his life.

Imagine if that father said to the doctor, "Don't give him anything for the pain." And then stood by, watching the child scream in agony as surgery was performed, saying to himself, "You brought this on yourself, kid. You should have listened to me." We would consider that to be unspeakably ruthless.

But ultimately, this is what we are being told Jehovah God has done to mankind. I refuse to believe these explanations are valid.

Either way, if Satan really is running the governments to that extent, I'm pretty sure I'd be getting stabbed to death right now, wouldn't I? ... What's that? Wait for it? Still waiting....no. Still here. What's the point in him 'influencing' human rule if most people basically get on with their lives like they always have? Good things are done by governments, bad things are done by governments. People prosper and starve--this was the case in Israel, too. How many other widows were there who didn't happen to have a prophet handy to restore their food?

But next week's article, in particular, provides one of the most specifically revealing statements, that obeying the GB means you accept 'God's way of ruling'. So is the GB ruling now?

There's a picture on the second page of next week's article, with the caption, "Jehovah has always maintained his rulership." Which undercuts the idea that his rulership was interrupted for 2,520 years, but...hey, who's keeping score?

Satan was cast down to Earth in 1914, and things got better, once the staus quo decreed by jehoobie passed away.

The deaths from disease accidents and others, went down so much that by 2000 the population of the world was 7 000 000 000 more than ever before. Famines , pestilences,are decreasing. By the WTBTS own admission, earthquakes are no more numerous that before (Awake! "... Note that Jesus is not here saying that earthquakes would be more frequent...")

The world has actually got measurably better - No wonder The WT God wants to put a stop to it. Remember the Tower of Bel?

But Yadda, haven't you heard? That "1914" date is wrong, wrong, wrong - based on the correct date of 587 BCE, that invisible "battle in heaven" would have taken place in - uhm, I hate story problems - around 20 years LATER - 1934 CE or AD...

And, other than ol' Adolph preparing for WWII and persecuting a bunch of misguided Bible Students because their alcoholic, idiot American leader didn't know enough to keep his mouth shut and have his followers maintain a LOW profile - oh, yeah, and the persecution of other groups the Nazis considered 'undesirable'...

Not much happened that year... And that nasty, watershed "War to end all wars" would have taken place BEFORE Satan got thrown down to earth...

Interesting that the cause of all the trouble, Mr. Satan gets to live a thousand years longer than innocent children who haven't done a thing wrong aside from being born to non JW parents.

You know, I always remembered this woman my mother studied with who quit over that very issue. She just couldn't stomach God killing children for to "vindicate his sovereignty".

I never had an answer for that one, even though I'm sure my mother told her some WTS nonlogic in response that was so ridiculous I can't even recall it. I just remember being stunned at not having an answer for that, because as a teenager, I really did believe that the Witnesses could answer every objection to their teachings.

But, that woman quit studying that very day. She was one of the smarter ones.
