  Another sick JW is finally brought to justice (no thanks to God's Chosen Ones) after raping and molesting children for four frigging decades. As per the article below, obviously one of his victims told the elders that they had been molested and obviously the elders did nothing about it. 'Sorry, but did you have another eye witness to Brother Cockerill raping you? No? Oh well then, nothing we can do about it and you better keep your mouth shut or we'll have to disfellowship you for slander, even if you are only 8 years old.'

  Paedophile jailed for sex crimes

  Published Date: 30 March 2010 A paedophile who raped and sexually assaulted women and girls for more than 40 years used his victims' religious beliefs as Jehovah's Witnesses to keep his crimes a secret. George Cockerill, 78, was jailed indefinitely after admitting 19 rapes, four counts of sexual activity with a child, six counts of indecency with a child, one sex assault and two counts of indecency with a child.
  
  Hull Crown Court was told he'd made one victim pray following an assault while another tried to get help from elders, to no avail.
  
  Sentencing, Judge Roger Thorn QC said Cockerill he was a terrible hypocrite who had caused "untold misery" by using religion to control his victims, adding: "As one victim said you have stolen her childhood."
  
  Cockerill, of Hull, was sentenced to imprisonment for public protection for a minimum of six years and will not be released until the Parole Board believes he is no longer a danger.
  
  Steven Garth, mitigating, said: "He is desperately sorry for what he has done."

  If god's spirit can take action to inspire someone to post an envelope through some f-wit pioneers door because his car is broken then why can the same spirit not take action to save all the victims of abuse in his organisation?

  Unbelievable - and they didn't catch him until he was 78. That's bizarre in itself.

  Don't know why they're sticking him in prison either. They should make firelighters out of him so he can at least be of some use.

  Because the only 'spirit' that directs anything this cult does, is in the form of a 60 ouncer. Well, hopefully the stinking old bastard will get a taste of his own medicine once he's in the Big House. Filthy rotten pig. And the elders who did nothing when the victims tried getting help should also have their sorry frigging asses thrown into prison. How many children could have been saved from this piece of scum had the elders acted earlier?

  I already saw this being discussed on a JW discussion site. Most of the comments were JWs questioning the genuinness of this story based on the fact that it was reported in a tabloid/red top newspaper. Some even said that if this guy was guilty of doing this then he couldnt have been a genuine JW or that the facts had been exaggerated and twisted. At the same time, there were posts littered throughout the page about the Child Abuse scandal within the Catholic Church. They all had something to say about that.

  Iknowall quite predictable their attitude of course. Is the story in a national tabloid then? The Yorkshire Post is hardly one of the more sensationilist papers.

  Some key points of interest to this and many other cases of sexual abuse within the JWS organization.

  The adverse denial by JWS themselves when they read or hear of such cases is one obvious observation.

  People will exploit the purity and goodness of a religious group to cover themselves with to the

  endangerment of the weak and venerable, namely children.

  The JWS are still very concerned about the organization's self image outwardly to the public,

  even after their teaching and articles on child abuse, this is still an important agenda.

  So will this whole scenario continue on , unfortunately yes.
