Are there times in a man's life when he really needs a woman to be there for him?

Yes, my husband would say so. And let me say that I did not coerce my husband into marrying me, like my sex was so unbelievable that the only way he was to get it was to become my husband. My husband would tell you that he married me because he loved me and wanted us to be together.

I believe you, Mrs. Jones. It's very likely that Mr. Jones got the best part of the deal.

Okkaaayyyy, Ms. Josie (peace to you!)???

Amazing what some believe, that men don't know how to love. Most of them do... AND most of them feel/get hurt... WAY more than we wimmens do!! And we bounce back a LOT sooner... and better... than they tend to.

My experience is that men are MUCH more sensitive (which a lot of women don't seem to realize/understand... to the detriment of their relationships)... and throw themselves WAY further into love... than women. If some women could understand this, however... and not expect them to be "women" (i.e., kind and loving, but often controlling, tidy, picker-uppers, who can't stand dirt, want to know everything about everyone, and need to "TALK about"... well, almost everything)... but instead just let them be men (i.e., kind and loving, but dirty-sock leavin', can't remember to put down the toilet seat doing', 'huh, what??" sayin', would sometimes rather fish, hunt, watch sports (or women) and/or talk to the dog than deal with us... but can't live without us... counterparts)... they would find themselves in MUCH more rewarding relationships.

This may indeed be a man's world... but it would be nuthin'... NUTHIN'... without a woman or a girl! And most of them know it...

    Peace to you, dear Josie!

I agree with you, OP. I'm living with my partner (unmarried).

If one (anyone, not neccesarily you) is living with a partner to whom one is not legally married, is it a marriage?

Or is it always merely "roommates with benefits"?

I've been married - paper and all - twice, and I agree totally with your statements.

    Dearest Quillsky... peace to you!

It depends on where you're from. And if it's in the U.S., then it depends on the state: if it is a "common law" state, then it may be considered a "common law" marriage (which must be recognized by non-common law states). Unless that state only recognizes "marriage" (common law or otherwise) as being between a man and a woman... and the "partners" in question are two men or two women. In which case it is not a marriage... at least as far as the "state" is concerned... and, I would say to you that that would also be the case with the Most Holy One of Israel, as well. Not because of the homosexual aspect, but because of the "two becom[ing] one flesh" part: while the Most Holy One of Israel, JAH of Armies, would see a man and woman as one flesh... He would see the other situation merely as two of the same [kinds of] flesh. My apologies to anyone that such truth offends... but that really is the truth).

Dearest Miz Sylvie... I LOVE YOU, TOO, MAN!! !! !! !!

    Peace to you all!
