I am curious. Do they have the body of the deceased in the coffin at the KH? Do they have "viewing" there?

Broken Promises
When my father died last October, they had his coffin in the KH right at the front. I don’t know whose idea it was because it wasn’t something my dad would have wanted, and my sister and I weren’t happy with it either.

The coffin wasn’t open, it was closed, btw.

They've been trying to get their Traditions down for 80 years, just doesn't seem to work

A memorial service at the hall is highly restrictive. A talk is given by an Elder that may have a balance between personal information and religious beliefs. ie resurrection and "new system" ....BUTTT no one is allowed to take the stage other than the Elder giving the talk. Don't even think of having a relative (non elder or ms) coming onstage to give a personal touch to the proceedings. A Wife of the deceased...NEVER would that happen.
If a funeral held in the hall it is nothing more than a short public talk with the hope of gathering a few more recruits to the BORG™

Exactly someone once called it a 25 minute infomercial for the WTS. a sullen opportunist opportunity.
Say you know what we have a very good opportunity to live forever in paradise, want to find out how ?
