Why does Acts 15:29 differentiate "things strangled" from "blood"?

Just wanted to also say that I have long agreed that the proclamation agains blood very likely meant also not shedding blood wantonly (i.e. - not killing). Thus it is ironic to say the least that the witness use that very verse to justify their honor killing blood doctrine.

Yes, my two youngest would have no doubt been born seriously ill or even dead if I'd have taken their BS about blood seriously. It's just literally criminal and stupid.
