We're Back! Finished Romans

G'day all,

Mrs Ozzie and I are just back from a very stimulating week studying the complete Bible book of Romans at the feet of noted Bible scholar Paul Barnett.

As many of you would appreciate, it was reading the book of Romans that led many Brooklynites to see the truth about 'the troof'. Much interesting detail is given in Ray Franz's book Crisis of Conscience. In short, a thorough reading of the complete book, in context, would cause a thinking JW to start to question many of his previously held absolute truths.

We're a trifle tired, so maybe some tidbits later.

In the meantime, another book by Paul Barnett is worth a read. It's The Truth about Jesus published by Aquila Press. A good bedtime read, which is where I think I'll go now.

Hope you guys have all been behaving while we've been away.

What I meant was, I didnt come to a proper understanding of Romans chapter 8 (particularly verse 1) by reading the NWT.

Where have I ever said "the bible is a fake"?? Bit simplisistic aren't you? Have you read my essays on Paul? I don't doubt that Pauls letters were penned by him and Luke. I think that Paul being a real historical figure is beyond dispute. If you have anything contrary to this i'd be very interested in hearing it.
