BTW- Thanks for a SERIUOS conversation1
Welcome :)
1-Yes but we- and MANY others have made that mistake- as the APOSTLES did in that reference!
Understood, but why continue to do so? Shouldn't it be enough to say that the End Will come when God so wills it to be?
2-Don't YOU think these are the last days- and feel the signs are there?
No, I don't but that is my opinion, doesn't mean I am right, just like your opinion doesn't mean you are right either.
3-Because Hebrew is not the language in this couintry.
A valid point since we do use Jesus, but the issue is that Jehovah is NOT even a tranlsation of YHWH, do you have kids? do you liek them calling you by your name? or "Dad"?
4- The SAME WAY HE LEFT- was unseen; he was lifted up, then HIDDEN BY THE CLOUD; that is why churchoids think he went to heaven as a zombie (Bloodless corpse, heh)
No one thinks Jesus is a zombie, well, besides those guys that try to be funny.
No offense, but your reading of that verse is not inline wiht what was written:
The angels told them:
11 They said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up toward heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
So, in what way did Jesus go into heaven?
9 When he had said this, as they were watching, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
So, we can see that Jesus went UP into Heaven and a cloud took/received him and they could see him anymore.
So, for jesus to return the same way ( except for the direction, obviously) he would came FROM a Cloud and "they" will see him cleary ( since he is OUT of the cloud).
Now, who are they though? not the apostles of course, since they are dead.
Accorinding to Paul ( and others), ALL will see him, including those who pierced him ( in ALL ways).
Paul tells us that the dead shall rise upon his return and since those that pierced him will see him too, we take it to mean ALL th edead, hence the day of judgment motif.
Nowhere in the NT is this portrayed or even insinuated as a "private" or "invisible" event.
