Lozhasleft--- I feel the same as you. It is painful sometimes to discover just how duped I was, and all the years that I lost to that organization. I am glad to be out, but at the same time, I am sad that my mother is still in. The decisions that she has made based on her faith in that religion have caused her so much pain. I ache inside knowing that if she found out that I had changed my mind about this religion, it would cut her so deeply. I don't know what hurts worse, knowing that she would hurt, or knowing that she would hurt because of a bunch of false doctrines. A farce.
It is not an easy road to follow, but I have a feeling that it is necessary for people like you and I, and all of the others who have found the truth about "the truth."

I agree about the people we've left behind...I keep trying to think of ways to somehow, someway open their eyes but I know the drill - apostate shutdown would scare them. It's tough and I still love my friends and family who are still stuck. Maybe one day!!
Have a fantastic holiday and enjoy your cuddles
