Not to be critical, but your shoes look more like cross trainers than hiking shoes.
I think the board deserves an explanation if you are to have any credibility going forward.

On that particular day it wasn't much of a hike. Many caches are close to the road. It just depends. Sometimes it can take all day to get one, other times you can get many in a day. Here's a pic of a little cache I found two days ago.
