  thanks for your contributions.currently i am taking a preterists view of the 144k.the 144k would point to the jewish christian remnant that survived the destruction of jerusalem in 70 ad.

  The Watchtower has provided estimates of the number of true Christians whilst the apostles were still alive prior to 100 A.D. 40,000 are said to have been martyred in the year 95 A.D. alone.

  Considering by 1935 the WTS had been around over 55 years many partakers had already died, meaning at least 70,000. Since 1935 there have been a constant number of new ones, with 10,000 still partaking. Virtually all 10,000 would not have partook in 1935 as that was 75 years ago, so that raises the number to an absolute minimum of 80,000 JWs, out of the total 144,000.

  We have to keep in mind as the scriptures say "Many are called, few are chosen", so just because someone claims to the anointed does not guarantee them a spot in heaven. They claim it. but may have never been called. They may have been called, but never adopted by holy spirit, they may have been adopted by the Spirit, but didn't make their "calling abnd election sure". In the last 2,000 years it is estimated that 72 people a year are called to run the race for the high calling, that isn't a whole lot, especially when you consider thqat not all called, finish the race.

  You also have to consider that those who are called, chosen and begotten are written in God's book, not man's, so who cares what the Watchtower claims. Revelation 7 tells us that the great crowd is so great that no man can number them, yet at the same time, the leaders at the Watchtower claim to know the number, since they keep records on all members. Go figure!
