The gun thing happened to a friend of mine. And yeah, the stupid was strong with that one; we said "dude, don't try to put your eye to the scope, you're gonna get hurt". He ended up with a perfect half circle cut around his eye/brow.

Some of the YouTube Darwin Award video clips just show accidents or dumb
things. Those aren't really eligible. Darwin Award candidates must "do a ser-
vice to Humanity by removing themselves from the gene pool" (i.e., lose the
ability to reproduce either by death or sterilization in a stupid fashion) to
help prove Darwin was right. I hope it's never the case, but if you saw a
loved one about to do one of these things, some which just make your jaw drop
(juggle live hand grenades, jump with a skateboard from a tall roof to a metal
hand rail for concrete steps, use a lighter to check to see if a gas tanker is
