Good thread. The justification I have been given is that holy spirit does not directly guide; it is the bible that guides and that was written by holy spirit. Occasionally the Watchtower would indicate that holy spirit did actively guide in our day, but not say so as plainly and blatantly as the recent articles. I hope you are not the only one to find this disturbing.

"Those who make up the one true Christian organization today do not have angelic revelations or divine inspiration."
That's right, folks: God's "sole channel"... by their own admission... does not have divine inspiration.
...priceless

When the time comes to clarify a spiritual matter in our day, holy spirit helps responsible representatives of “the faithful and discreet slave” at world headquarters to discern deep truths that were not previously understood. (Matt. 24:45; 1 Cor. 2:13)
Those who make up the one true Christian organization today do not have angelic revelations or divine inspiration. (Kingdom Proclaimers--p.708)
Well, then, which is it?

GB is not inspired and infallible. They try their best to pass their info to us.
So then why can't we question the teachings of GB?
Because they know best and are directed by Holy Spirit.
So, Holy Spirit directs them?
So are they inspired?
They are not inspired.
Directed but not inspired?
How can you be guided by Holy Spirit and not be inspired?

The problem is that the HOLY SHITPIRIT is confused. You see, IT guided the writters of the BIBLE but since they wrote things soo different than what we have today the HS is having a hard time keeping up with these folks.

If they are going to play the imperfection card, then why do they require people to abide by and teach the bad doctrines until they themselves fix it?
