  I wonder how children get off from school. In parts of the South, school lets out around Mothers Day (and starts in August, when I bet the Grand Boasting Sessions will still be going there). But, I am seeing places like Portland, Maine (where school ends in late June) having their Grand Boasting Sessions start while school is still in session. Worse than missing a class, these children are probably missing tests. In May, they are missing major unit tests that could be important for them to catch up or to integrate with later units. But, when these things are the last two weeks of schools, they are probably missing final exams!

  Since when are children going to be better off missing final exams? I bet the hounders are making sure all of them are at the Grand Boasting Session, to hell if they get a zero on their finals for it. The finals are one-fifth of the total grade for that class! If you get a zero on a final, the best you can hope for is a 80%--each quarter's average counts one fifth, and the final exam counts for the other fifth. If they are getting mediocre grades for the courses, they are going to make the difference between getting something that resembles a decent grade, or flunking the class. With many schools having a 70% grade being a passing grade, getting this zero on the final can easily make the difference between getting a B- (a halfway decent, if not stellar, grade) and flunking the whole course. All because the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger feels like having Grand Boasting Sessions while children are still in school!

  I can't bear to go this year. Last year was awful. But, now that the convention are three days long, most students would only miss one day of school. Most Witness kids I know are home or cyber schooled anyway. lol.

  good point belbab... with the new injunction against distributing recorded material, people need to know WHY... what the GB says needs to be monitored now more than ever before

  And what Belbab and Agonus said - we'd love to have tapes/videos!!

  (I think it would be great fun for an "Apostafest" to all show up at the DC's main talk - the one hopefully given by a member of the Guv.Bod - carrying tape recorders.....!!)

  Last year H-Town got Geoff........but with Jaracz reported recovery I am wondering if he will do H-Town or Dallas.

  (Anyone know the radio frequency they use at the Berry Center in Houston?--- it is not my DC but I might be able to get 'Friends' to record the talks, and I understand do so off the radio presents a smoother recording)

  Do you have a scanner and Adobe on you computer? If not would you be willing to 'double back' and pick up some theocratic 'goodies' (books, brochures, CDs handed out) and send them to me to scan and upload for forum consumption?---- I will reimburse you the S/H!!!!

  Oh if you can video the Drama and upload it to Youtube that would fantastic too!......
