nelly136 makes a very good point, convention seating in stadiums is brutal. I have long legs and my knees will generally cramp up sitting that long, that or my butt...

I remember the uncomfortable folding chairs in the 70s. But in more current times, the chairs were quite comfortable. The district convention seats were quite uncomfortable. I think they were for 3 hour concerts not all day conventions.

Back in the 50's when I first visited a KH that used to be a tiny nasty convenience store at one time we had wooden chairs. The fact that they updated their chairs was one way hubby used to try and entice me to go back! "They have theater seats now !" Like that would do it...
When I was going later they had the metal ones..didn't bother me tho I was young..

Back in the late 50's the KH I attended was in an old theater. The theater seats were very comfortable.
