Early '80's Twitch? Me too!! My ex and buddies had the original "Chainmail" rule book. Knew Dave Hargrave, and worked for TSR. Good fun it was too.
Cool. Yea, DND was the start; I got into other RPGs at the time such as Traveller (a little), Top Secret and Star Frontiers. It was the RPG heyday in a sense. Funny, I recall making my own weapon charts and designing custom fighters/helos/tanks for these and such, all with diagrams and specs. Lotsa time on my idle hands,..hehehe
