Researchers at Princeton have found evidence of Neanderthal genes in humans where they were once thought not to have bred.
Its all a little different than what we were taught in Science class or a Bible Study. Any thoughts on the origins of us.

Cool! I always suspected that...
Besides, I've seen more than one human walking around who seemed to have a physique with elements of the Neaderthal in it...
Was friends with a girl in high school who had a physique like that... Thick, stocky body with thick, strong bones...
Zid
I didn't pay attention in science class. I was told they were from the debil.
Remember the Debil had those same shifty eyes and protruding forehead ............. could he have been a Neanderthal
He is whatever you want him to be.
It sure explains some of my relatives
I"ve always thought that Neanderthals were assimilated, not wiped out. It's typical of human behavior throughout history to conquer through both war AND assimilation.
Besides, you can see people walking around today who could easily be Neanderthals. That stronger stocky body type is an advantage in certain climates.

I've long suspected this to be the case, and that I have more than a few traits from this population of humans. Yes Neanderthals were human.
Here is what hit my inbox earlier today.

They died out last, by the way, on the Iberian Peninsula. Hybrid skeletons have been uncovered. Here is a reconstruction based on one found on Gibraltar:
I am pleased that my Neanderthal ancestors are finally getting some recognition.
No. Neanderthals were not barbaric compared to other populations of humans. In fact, they were more advanced in some ways. Your typical quiet, geeky, nerdy, socially inept introvert, that is brilliant in some narrow field, has cognition that is probably towards the Neanderthal end of the spectrum.
By the way, if you really want to bake your noodle, consider the implications if the information on this website is remotely true:

I had always thought that neanderthals existed, one has only to look at the Gooberning Bodice to see that, and the evidence of less than menial intelligence is rampant, I mean after all it takes a vote of 2/3rds to agree with God's holy spirt. They can't even all agree on just what holy s**t is really saying.
