Minimus,
Proceed with caution. It is VERY difficult for non-JWs -- those who were never baptized and who've never felt the extreme pressures -- to understand how sensitive the matter of "apostate" talk really is. So, even if he agrees to keep things confidential, he may not understand what a hot potato he has on his hands.

minimus,
I also know some who never were baptized but still think it's the 'truth'. They are adult children of a JW. They always flew under the radar and associated on the fringes.
They had the best of both worlds. They never became full-fledged witnesses but still associated to some degree. They had minor problems in their congregation as adolescents but even many baptized JWs did. They ended up marrying so-called worldly people and have nothing to do with JWs. They seem happier and more well-adjusted than active baptized JWs!
Being I am a 'fader' I cannot totally come clean with them because they might tell their JW parent or get all 'righteous' on me. I tell you, there is nothing more nauseating than somebody who NEVER was a JW getting all uppity. This just cracks me up.

I get a kick out of those that never became JWs yet frown upon Witnesses that left.
