I have been kicking this around for a long time,
having note cards of my art printed and try to sell them.
Before I put money into it and get stuck with a thousand cards,
that I personally could not send in my lifetime
I would like to know if any of you send out
cards?
I talking about note cards, where you write a little something on
it.
I do not. Well, I haven't in a very long time.

Yes, I do. And you know, Leslie, I am a fan of your artwork!! If you have a website, post it and show examples. I would probably be a purchaser.
Yes, I send cards out often.
I'm putting some stuff up at cafepress, but looking to print and sell to gift shops in my area. My sis will do the same for me in Florida, which is probably a better market than where I am.

Yes I use note cards too. I'm a graphic designer and so make and print my own stuff. Although there's a real shift toward e-cards, I read recently that the greeting card industry is something like $7 billion annually...so I'd say there's still a market for printed materials. But you're right, it's difficult to know how much to invest in printing before you've tested the waters.
Yep, I'm an unabashed Luddite when it comes to cards.
Birthdays, Anniversarys, Graduation, Thank Yous.
I know they're low-tech and not as eco-friendly as electronic greetings, but, for me, they convey a higher level of concern.

I never send cards. But I love getting them. I would definitely give it a try. There is a huge market for that.
Proper etiquette dictates a hand written card for thanks and condolences.
