"For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, 'Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.' In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.' For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes" (I Corinthians 11:23- 26).

If your boss told you, "Go do some work." - would you just go and observe others doing work? Of course not! So, why do Jehovah's Witnesses not obey this simple command of accepting the blood and body of Christ to seal them into the New Covenant? I have always found this very odd.

Jesus did not say, "Observe this in remembrance of me. Just watch, don't partake!"

It boggles the mind that JW's just take this teaching from the WT, take it right up the yahzoo, and don't even blink.

Its clear in scripture that all should partake, heck itis clear in scripture that Judas partook and itis clear in scipture that it was NOT just an annual event.

But of course, JW's don't follow scripture, they follow Watchtowerese.

Hi Sacolton Thank you for your comment, when I first found out the truth about the truth and then the penny dropped that they had been preventing me from partaking, that they deny people the right to take the bread and wine claiming that they are taking it unworthily [TWISTING SCRIPTURE] as jesus said they shut up the heavens before men. [ EPHESIANS 4;4 &5 ONE HOPE ONE FAITH ] opened my eyes my hubby and I started partaking that very week. Our faith in God and his son Jesus was not shaken, I realised I had been putting faith in men. Now we have experienced freedom in christ which is denied as a JW we have a joy now that we never experienced in all the years we were in the org.

Also finding out the true meaning of grace was overwhelming I never realised the true extent of Gods mercy before. I encourage anyone to go on the ALPHA course with an open mind and realise we have been lied to. There is spiritual food in abundance. When I first went to a christian shop I could not believe the amount of books that had so much deep knowledge and insight, the hard work and research that was done.

We have also made some wonderful friends that have really supported and helped us.

Its no different than a Lutheran Church having Closed Communion or a Presbyterian Church having a Table with Token restrictions, remember your Calvin lessons on 'Election of the Elect'..

Try receiving communion from a Catholic Priest if you are not a member and have not gone through Catechism.

Anyway, nothing to worry about .................. the age of rituals and superstitions about doing this or that the way some group says to do it is fading.
