How does that tell us it will be 3 and 1/2 years? A time, times and half a time? I am just curious how people get these dates that never seem to happen or how people can get such wildly different results.

I did. The witer of revelation was either insane of high as a kite. He also wrote about Babylon the Great, the great harlot, beasts with 10 heads, etc.
