    Honest, Humble, Hungry.

In the ministry we are taught that only these types of people with come into the truth.

Once in though, having legitimate concerns, doubts, and questions are played up as one not being honest (charges that you really want to do what you can't as a JW), not being humble (charges that you think you know better than everyone else), not being hungry (charges you don't care about the truth or your spiritual need).

Explain this to me. The person comming into the truth (and thus leaving somewhere else) would have a very similar attitute as the person leaving the truth on merits for doctronial reasons.

The one entering believes he might have found the 'answers' and is more trusting in accepting WTS guidance......

The one leaving knows something is wrong, he no longer seeks the answers in immediate publications and becomes more trusting in what the facts say for themselves and not just WTS spin.

It all comes down to following and obedience.......once you choose not to fully support the schoolyard bully, he starts coming after you instead of you enjoying the previous protection from his wrath!

I guess what I am trying to say is that the three H's taught so much regarding the ministry, but then you are not suppose to really have them afterward. How is this reaonsable to anyone? How can people not realize that blind obedience (despite ugly facts about the WTS) is no different than blind obedience to the teaching of the trinity to which JWs say: well he doesn't have the 3 H's.

To JWs ugly facts = it's a mystery.

makes me think of Acts 17:11, where the Bereans were more noble-minded than the others for searching the scriptures and examining what was being taught them. The org teaches that this was ok because they were not yet baptized. Once baptized as a JW, the WT teaches that such questioning stops.

Some how, I don't see humility in claiming the ONLY TRUE organization of God ( Self proclaimed of course) and I don't see humility in going door-to-door with a very limited knowldge of the Bible nor do I see humility in CHANGING the words written in the bible.

You didn't discern the social club-esque wording in the baptism........

    2) Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in association with God's spirit-directed organization?

    Look at this way.....

Say you join a golf club......contractually you have agreed to observe their rules or risk losing your membership privileges.

Here is the quote from Pay Attention to Yourselves and All the Flock aka 'Flock Book' or 'Elder Manual' found on page 94

"Person s who deliberately spread (stubbornly hold to and speak about) teachings contrary to Bible truth as taught by Jehovah's Witnesses are apostates."

Thems are just the club rules........

Once your baptized, you can no longer be hungry. Rather, you must accept food from mother -- and never question it or complain about it. This is the mark of a high-control group with something to hide.

The problem is that when you think you're part of God's Chosen, you think the 3 H's no longer apply.

edited to add: I have seen this attitude in my family. We're Right and You're Wrong. We have the Truth and you don't. We're good and you're bad.

The 3 H's are replaced with Hauty, Hateful, and Hopeless.
