Has anyone had a WT literature burning party?

I keep staring at the bookshelf full of WT literature in my house and keep having visions of a red-orange glow as the flames crawl higher and higher. My goal is to gather it all together, douse it with lighter fluid, and watch it go!

Ultimately, I dream of my wife being the one who strikes the match and joins me in the celebration.

Has anyone had that experience? I can imagine it being extremely liberating.

don't do that, it's a waste - I chucked all mine into the paper recycling at the local tip, that way it can be used again and not just making more CO2 - was about 3-4 black bags full, felt good!

When we left New Zealand 10 years ago most went into the fire, in 2002 when i dropped out completely the remainder went to the paper recycle, i now have zero litrash and zero bible of any kind.

one evening I gathered all the propaganda, piled it on the floor and stared at it, had a good cry, and bagged it all up to toss out

I saved a king james bible and a 4-translations bible...anything printed by the wtbts was in my past ...

very emotional experience and very liberating yes!

    i felt much lighter...

I'm moving out and found the last cache of literature--All gone now.

There should be no thread for others to find the trap I fell into. Destroy all of it!

I think I would buy an axe first. Enjoy cleaving it to bits for awhile. A long while. "You like that? Huh? You like that? You son of a [blank]! You son of a [blanking blank]! THIS means the second death, [blanks]!" Then I'd burn it. Actually, it'd be nice to use low-grade explosives on it, but...who has access to that? A genuinely satisfying 'stuff blows up' moment would be far better. Ah, well. One can always DREAM big...

Well, not really a party, just my husband and I standing over are fire pit watching them go up in smoke. He went to the memorial that year and didn't even have a bible or song book. We have friends that are now "exiting" so maybe we can have a real party with their 192 pg books!

Oh ya. I've been burning WT liturature at every winter party for the last 5 years. I still have 4 bound volumes to go.

I helped my parents carry a trailer load of WT literature to the dump after they came out. I documented the entire event with pictures. It's pretty hilarious! I will post them one day.
