The speaker is a dud, I too prefer the youtube videos with the computer voice. The generation is glossed over and the people will only remember that there is a new DVD and knock each other over to obtain it.

This speaker doesn't follow the outline from youtube, but speaks more about N.H.Barbour and J.F.Rutherford, and their issues.
Also, he mentioned that new AUDIO CD with vocal renditions is recorded.

I can just see the JWS excited by this new DVD at the Assemblies which contains new light,
lined up with money in hand, eager to find out where god's secret is at place.
Assembly talks many times were info-mercails for new products to be sold.

To me, actually the speaker, though probably on a strict outline, sounds rambling, not much conviction, and some intonation of depression (I give him 3 "W"s :)). The talk spoke mostly in the spirit of just 'hangin in there', endurance mode, no intonation of joy for sure. And I think that talk was toward the end of the last day, right?

I'll pass on the thanks to the person who actually recorded the lecture.
Yeah, it's the last talk of the convention. I agree he didn't sound enthused and I'm surprised he referred to how "some of the brothers" are confused about it.
I imagine some of the old-timers are probably a bit skeptical about this.

CABASILAS- Good thread. I feel this " generation overlap " teaching will in time come back to bite the GB and leaders of the WT society in the a$$ ! They can only play the shifting dates game so long. The fact that you and someone else mentioned on the thread that SOME witnesses are having trouble swallowing this - indicates to me that the GB has underestimated the authentic thinking ability in some of it's members .
Already the WT society has a damage control July 15th Witness only WT counseling witnesses to not listen to ex-witnesses saying the end is not near. So they are prepping JW's that us ex-JW's are going to be talking about this to them. WT society REALLY is manipulative

I tried to record the whole day, but I chose to record the FM broadcast and the signal went out through much of it. I did not realize it until I replayed it in the evening. This was unfortunate, since the symposium had the usual boastful pioneer couple and some education bashing it would be fun to let people know about. Those seem to be standard things in these shindigs.
Also, that sucked the battery down faster. I had a replacement battery and decided top priority would be to get the last talk and record with the mic. Not good quality, but it is there. I am considering putting this on youtube with stills from the day. It would be instructive to actually hear this spoken instead of someone reading an outline. I do this so outsiders can know what goes on in the hidden world of the tower.
