    From file description:

"Remain in the Secret Place of the Most High," audio recording from the 2010 "Remain Close to Jehovah" District Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses. Discusses the latest interpretation of "this generation" in Matthew 24:34. The speaker explains about the new interpretation: "We're going to just glance at that a little bit, because some of the brothers have had just a little difficulty putting it together. It's a little bit of an adjusted understanding, and then some clarification on that adjustment." At 23:30 minutes the new interpretation is explained: the "generation" has 2 overlapping life-spans of "anointed" Jehovah's Witnesses: one from "anointed" Jehovah's Witnesses from the 1914 era and one from today's "anointed" Jehovah's Witnesses. Lecture recorded at public meeting held in the Tucson Community Center in Tucson, Arizona on May 30, 2010.

So if an anointed jw who was alive in 1914 would be at least 86 + 10 = 96 years old and there was an 26 year old newly anointed jw (just for the sake of discussion), that gives the WTS another 70 years to play with before the "end."

Thanks for posting the talk in its entirety. I found a couple of points interesting in addition to the Generation recap.

Based on Blondie's example and the definition given of Generation, what common experience is shared by the 96 and 26 year old? It is not clear from the talk. In the talk, the first group experienced one thing and the second group will experience something else. So whats the common experience?

They definitely chose the right person to give this discourse as he has a nice voice quality that could mask the logic gymnastics if you were not really paying attention.

This shows how arrogantly blasphemous the Gibbering Buddy has become.

ALL of the new points, are "supported" not by Holy Scripture but by "Note what the Wtchtower <mm/dd/yyyy> says.

He also claims that the scripture does NOT refer to the "wicked" generation who refuse to recognise the sign. CONTRADICTION.

They said the "clarification" of 1995 was a more "precise " explanation. HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA

They take the dictionary definition of contemporary :"those belonging to the same generation. " (As in the example from Genesis and the sons of Jacob) then the switch is cleverly made by saying contemporary also means "at the same time."

Since Freddie Franz lived at the same time as my newborn nephew in 1990 they are "contemporaries" forming ONE generation.

This is one pile of BULL ( not even Papal, at that.)

    HB

But of course they did say that later WTBTS writings "have become part of the BIBLE."

    Blondie,

You are 100 percent correct. They have at least that long to play with. It'll change, though. Trust me on that.

So basically I am losing interest in this ex-jw stuff because this light is getting so excruciatingly bright I see it's all a pile of poop.

well its an almost completely new governing body so not surprising they have a new set of new light.

I give it less than 5 years.

I predict this will be the last "generation" change.

Thank you so much for sharing this!

Did previous conventions rely so heavily on Watchtower articles? Maybe I just noticed this because I've been awakened.
