Just wondering how much good that does when ex-JWs hold up signs at conventions. Do you know of anybody that saw something on a sign and did research and subsequently left the organization?

not me, I ignored the signs completely one time in RI long time ago.

I know of one person who upon readin the sign "Read the Bible Not the Watchtower" decided to do some independent bible reading and ended up coming out.

I would think a very simple message would do the trick, but not so many words. , maybe do a banner of www.freeminds.org, thats it.

David Reed the author? I didn't know he was a JW? I got one of his books. The picketers used to freak me out as a kid. They showed up with a coffin in a truck one year. That was really scarry.
