Don't let similarities between apologists fool you into thinking they are the same person. Even if they know each other, it is no big deal or great conspiracy. The similarities are due to cult influences. Any of these posters could easily be my family except that my family wouldn't post here. The logic they use is the same, the quest for some persecution, avoidance of subjects, derailing conversations, attacking the person rather than the subject, mudslinging at other religions, etc. My family has made careers out of those techniques.

To detect if they are the same poster you need to look at things outside the cult influence, such as grammar, spelling and sentence construction. To jump the gun and voice suspicions without giving the posters plenty of posts to cross reference for these attributes doesn't do anyone any good and does give an impression of paranoia.

BTW, I don't think Peter is a troll. He is just me 30 years ago and I think he has a better chance of seeing behind the curtain than I did at his age.

@Bane: Are you saying Israel NEVER claimed they were with God?

Sorry I didn't answer you before, I see others did. About this particular question: I didn't meant that Israel didn't claim they're God's people, I meant that was secondary. First and foremost Jehovah himself said that "this is my people" in a most direct way, no roundabouts and uhms, and difficult to understand explanations.

The JWs on the other hand only claim that they are Jehovah's people, and they quote some Bible passages proving this - the same exact Bible passages that other hundreds of christian denomination use to prove they are God's people.

This is what I meant: Israel didn't only claim, but God himself pointed to them and said You are my people. JWs only claim it. This is not a point of argument, it was only the opening to my main point.

Edit: never mind, I just read the whole topic in the meantime, and there's no logical argumenting with Bane. Shame, logical thinking apologists bring new color to this forum.
