Because they're not Dutch.... ;-)
2-0 today against Denmark. Not a very good game though, the second half was a bit better.

USA USA USA
England are about 8/1 to win, as are Holland
USA about 80/1
For comparison Spain and Brazil are about 4/1 and Argentina 6/1
An adventurers bet would be Mexico at 100/1 - it has happened before - Greece won the European Championships in 2004 starting the tournament at 100/1. (Maybe the odds mean that it won't happen again for a while :-))
I have my money on Brazil.

some relevant commentary on the USA :
A recent Nielsen poll conducted before the start of the 2010 FIFA World Cup revealed that 50 percent of U.S.-based respondents thought the United States would claim the title, an event that would constitute probably one of the biggest upsets in World Cup history. The results of this poll are directly reflective of two realities: the fact that most Americans largely eschew the world of international football, and how the geopolitics of the United States has inculcated most of its citizens with a sense of optimism that does not exist in most parts of the globe.
seems that for most polls involving Americans you can half of them to agree with just about anything.....
