I have a friend, not a JW, who can only make a life decsion when he is backed into a corner and he has NO options left but one. For JW's to make decsions using their own judgement is very hard for many in the KH. Good luck on school.
Even when I was a very active JW, the "wait on Jehovah" mantra didn't make sense to me. Most biblical examples of blessing were upon men and women of action. Those who "took the bull by the horns" and took decisive steps to do what needed doing or kill who needed killing. The "wait on Jehovah" stuff was for the old and decrepit who could do absolutely nothing about their circumstances.
God helps them who helps themselves. The wait on Jehovah part is taken out of context by ignorant people.
It means do everything you possibly can top help yourself then leave the worrying to God. Dont stress what you cant controll.
LOOSIE- Congratulations ! I'm proud of you ! You go girl. Isn't it amazing the ton of bricks that's been lifted off our shoulders after moving on exiting the cult ? I've been out for six and a half years now- I'm more fulfilled and happier than I've ever been ! Enjoy life my friend - good luck at college ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
Wonderful! :)
