I disagreed with their false prophesying, unscriptural doctrines, and unchristian practices.

The kicker: I obtained pre-1914 copies of Russell's Studies in the Scriptures. I compared what I found there with the claims regarding that era which the Society published in literature found on the Watchtower Library cd-rom. It became exceedingly clear that the Society's post-1950 claims were untrue. I don't like lies, nor those that promulgate such lies in hundreds of millions of copies over a period of decades. (And who refer to their system of false teachings as "The Truth".)

They welshed on their promises to set me up with the opposite sex, and ran out of time to cure the problem. Instead, they made it even worse--at which point the only appropriate response was to welsh on my "agreement" to do their will.

I felt bad that I had misrepresented God's promise by preaching that the generation of 1914 would not pass away. I couldn't agree that we had seen the sign of Christ's presence. I didn't like the lack of love that is shown toward decent people who try to follow the "truth" (1975) and are hurt and spoken of in a bad way. I didn't like the worship of the organization. I didn't like the focus on works, meeting atttendance, field service hours, rather than faith in Christ.

I also found the meetings incredibly boring, I thought the assemblies were worse. Most of the Elders thought to much of themselves and lacked real warmth and love. (Making sheparding calls by the calendar as if they cared)

I was stuck as a divorced person without scriptural reason for divorce (spouce had disappeared, left the state without any idea his warebouts), not able to remarry (was 25years old at the time), told I had to remain "single" until the new system

I knew that was total bs, that unveiled my eyes to see the hypocracy and backbiting of the "brothers and sisters" , and everything fell apart after five years of that shit-

    I'm not bitter or anything....

    debator said:

Jehovahs witnesses were NGO's of the Department of Information for the UN. This is not a wrongdoing Paul was also a Roman citizen.

Surely you jest with this comparison. Paul was automatically born as a Roman citizen. No different than me being born in the U.S.A. and automatically being a citizen. The WT Society wasn't born into the NGO/U.N. They willingly chose it and had to sign the documentation to be approved.

If you consider yourself a debator(debater)you have to know that you would be laughed off the stage/platform for trying to draw that parallel.

One doesn't require any action at all to be a part, while the other takes significant effort and a willingness to be part of.

If you're not sure of Paul being born as a Roman citizen then check out Acts 22:28

It was just too much! Meetings 3 times a week, preparing for meetings, personal study, family study, parts on the meeting, District Conventions, Special Day Assemblies, field service, etc....

There is NOTHING I want to do THAT much! I like sports and music. I wouldn't want to go to a sporting event 5 or 6 times in the course of a week. Imagine going to see a concert of your favorite performer 5 or 6 times a week! You would HATE it!!

Also doing research online and finding out a lot of stuff you didn't know as a JW helped push me away. Flip flops on so many JW beliefs also helped me out the door.

I got to see first hand what Titus doesn't believe, when my daughter was molested by a trusted JW not too long ago :(

We were treated horribly after we went to the authorities, stood up in court and had the molester who molested multiple victims(JW's) convicted and sent to prison. Sadly he was never disfellowshipped..still don't have any idea as to why the hell not!! But, could care less at this point.

Happy to be free from an Org that cares more for the molesters then they care for their most innocent of sheep. I would rather be lonely at the moment and to start my life all over then to spend one more day with those who would sacrifice a good family in order to not look bad.

Impossible to nail it down to one thing - lack of love, and everything didn't seem right... I just left and years later did the research - thought I was the walking dead for a long time. What an imbosile!

What does Paul's citizenship have to do with anything? We are all citizens of some country. Many people, even JW's, even change citizenship.

Being an NGO of the UN's DPI involves accepting the tenets of the UN's charter (read it, it contains material unsuitable for witness), and proof of promoting the UN's ideals through the printed page. A review of articles written during 92-2001 shows how the WT played along. This is clear and simple hypocrisy.

607 BCE has the backing of one source: the WT. 587 BCE has the backing of all reputable, scholarly sources.

    Due your homework.
